About Real Chat

The Library and Minority Male Success Initiative have collaborated to create a literacy conversation space for those who are interested in reading excerpts from captivating, award-winning titles. On Tuesday, April 20, we will read and discuss Invent and Wander: The Collected Writings of Jeff Bezos. This is a safe and respectful space for you to share your ideas, views, and thoughts related to the session's excerpt with peers. We encourage you to read before attending, jot down notes, and think objectively. Check your weekly PCC E-Bulletin for registration details. Help Us Celebrate Libraries Every Day This Week!

National Library Week is a celebration of libraries and the impact they make on the communities they serve. This year, libraries across the country are celebrating National Library Week beginning Sunday, April 4th. The theme is "Welcome to Your Library".

Librarians have found innovative ways to help library users reach beyond the four walls and explore the library virtually. There are several library types including public, academic, school (K-12), and special. Each library caters to a different community of people, thus encouraging a lifetime of learning, community networking, and personal growth.

April is National Poetry Month, and we're ready to celebrate! Join us for an evening of poetry reading. Don't worry about your poetry writing skills. Be creative. Be ready to cheer on your peers. Be ready to have a great time.

How do you de-stress from stressful moments in the day? Join us for an opportunity to color and listen to classical music from Naxos Music Library. Use this moment to disconnect from stress and connect with your inner creativity. Meet us on Facebook Live by visiting the Library's Facebook page at 12 pm on Wednesday, April 7.

Research Basics Made Easy

Let us help you make your research journey easy. Use this session to ask questions on how to better develop research questions, keyword mapping, and how to search our databases.

Library Scavenger Hunt [for PCC Students only]

Entries Due Friday, April 9, by 12 noon

Learn more about your PCC Library while competing with your peers. Complete the scavenger hunt by using the Library's website in order to be entered into a raffle prize drawing. Prizes include two $25 Visa gift cards and a gift basket. You must score an 80 or above to be entered. Winners will be announced on Facebook on Friday, April 9th at 1:00 pm. Good luck!
 

To complete the online scavenger hunt . . .

1. Open the PCC Library website in a new tab or window.
2. In another tab or window, open the Library Scavenger Hunt Google Form. Answer the questions and remember that you have to get at least an 80 to be entered into the drawing.
3. Tune in to PCC Library's Facebook page on Friday, April 9 at 1 pm to see if you've won!

Are you a poet? Would you like to share? No matter your writing skills, this is the event for you. Join us for a night of poetry reading, snaps, and conversation! If you wish to share with the group, please complete the registration form included below.

This event is included in the Bulldog Virtual Spring Fling Week (April 5th-9th) and is co-sponsored by PCC Library and the Center of Student Activities. See weekly PCC E-Bulletin emails for additional programs and information on how to access each event.
