COVID Updates

Guidelines. services, and safety protocols for PCC Library (Everett Building).

Getting Books

While the 2nd floor of the Library is closed, the book and periodical collections will not be available for browsing. Library staff will be glad to retrieve any books or periodicals for you.

Options for PCC Students, Faculty, and Staff:

  • Call the circulation desk at (252) 493-7350 when the building is open.

  • Ask in person at the circulation desk on the 1st floor. You will have to wait until a staff member is able to retrieve the items.

  • Use Book Pick-Up Request Form to let us know what you'd like to view in advance so that the items can be ready at a scheduled date and time.

Options for Current Community Library Patrons:

IMPORTANT: Services for our community patrons are extremely limited while COVID restrictions are in place on campus. Community library patrons are not allowed inside the building. However, if you are a current library account holder with no outstanding fines, you can schedule curbside pick-up for PCC library books and interlibrary loans.

  • Call the circulation desk at (252) 493-7350 when the building is open to schedule curbside pick-up.
  • Use Book Pick-Up Request Form to let us know what books you'd like to get. We will contact you to schedule curbside pick-up.

Pick-Up Options

If you request books in advance, you will be notified when your order is ready for pick-up either at the 1st floor service desk or curbside.

You may request curbside service via the Book Pick-Up Request Form if you do not feel safe entering the building.

Curbside pick-up is the only option for our community library patrons.

Outside Drop Box

  • Books can be returned any time using the drop box located in the parking lot between the Everett and Fulford buildings.
  • Community library patrons should return all books via the outside drop box, as only PCC students, faculty, and staff are allowed to enter the building.
  • PLEASE DO NOT put laptops, hotspots, or other equipment in the drop box as they can easily get damaged.

Inside Service Desk

  • Books can be returned in person at the 1st floor service desk when the building is open. Please note that the Library is only open limited hours while COVID campus restrictions are in place and you must present a valid PCC ID in order to enter.
