Resources for the chemical compounds presentation in ECHS Chemistry.
These resources are library databases that include many types of encyclopedias and dictionaries. When accessing these databases, you may be prompted to enter your myPittCC username and password.

How to search:
Type the name of the compound in the search box.
You can search for entries that mention either the common name or the scientific name by connecting the search terms with OR in the search box.
Example: laughing gas OR nitrous oxide
Click the search button.
Entries with very few words are typically short definitions. Look for longer entries with around 175 or more words.
