Natasha Martin, Early College English Teacher

Natasha MartinI’m an English teacher at Pitt County Schools Early College High School, where I have the joy of sharing my love of literature and language with students each day. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending quality time with my husband and our four sons. I’m excited to support our students as a Battle of the Books coach and help spread my love of reading through this great program!

Evan Schmoll, Librarian

Evan and a dolphinHi, I'm Evan Schmoll, the Collection Development Librarian at PCC. I love to read and am excited to be a part of HBOB because YA is one of my favorite genres to read. In addition to reading, I love to travel, try new restaurants, and hang out with my younger sister. My favorite trip was to the Dominican Republic where I got to swim with dolphins! That's where this picture is from. I'd love to go to Iceland one day.

I was born in Alaska and lived in Rhode Island until I was 12 so I am used to cold weather. Although I've lived in NC for nearly 30 years, I'm still not used to the heat and humidity!

Angela Davis, Librarian

Angela sitting at the top of a Mayan temple in Belize.

My name is Angela Davis, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the team. I know that we are going to have a great time!

I’m a librarian at PCC who loves working with books, databases, and computers. My undergraduate degree is actually in piano, so I spend a lot of time playing piano for musical theater productions and church services. I sometimes joke that I slave over a computer keyboard by day, and a piano keyboard by night.

In this photo, I am sitting on top of a Mayan temple at the Xunantunich archeological site in Belize. I never go anywhere, so this was a huge deal for me!
