You have many options for getting access to HBOB books! If you have questions, please contact a coach for help.

ECHS

Check with Mrs. Melissa Elliott in the ECHS office about using copies from her collection.

PCC Library

• Check Out Print Copies:
  • Bring your Pitt ID with you in order to check out print books (PCC Library Hours).
• Access E-Books and Audiobooks:
  • Use your myPittCC email address to create an account in Dogwood Digital Library, then download the Libby app to access e-books and audiobooks.

Just because a book is on this list, doesn't mean that it is currently checked in. If you have questions, contact a coach. The Library owns one copy of each of the books in print. They are on a shelf behind the Circulation Desk on the 1st floor of the Library. The list below lets you know if the e-book and/or audiobook is available from Dogwood Digital Library.

Sora E-books (Pitt County Schools)

• Sora (e-books) - Pitt County School students have free access to Sora, a database of books.
• Sign in using your PCS e-mail.
• Get instructions: PCS eBooks & Audiobooks [Google Doc]
• NOTE: Mrs. Stowe (Wolves Den) at the ECHS can help you access Sora if you are having trouble.

How to Access HBOB Books in Sora

1. Click this link to open Sora in a new tab or window.
2. Sign in using your PCS email and password.  
3. Click Collections, listed on the far right of the screen.  
4. Then choose HBOB 2022-2023 for the High School collection.
5. Find the book you'd like to read, then click Borrow.
6. When you are finished make sure to click Return so someone else won't have to wait to access it.
