Search Tips and Examples:

Use the following examples as a guide for what to type in the Summon search box:

  • "motor skills"
  • "motor skills" AND handwriting
  • "memory function"
  • "occupational therapy" AND stroke

Once you have a list of results, use the options in the side bar to refine your results by date, type of resource, subject, etc.

Medical Databases:

You may prefer to search individual medical databases for scholarly articles. If you need help, please ask a librarian!

Database Search Tips

Join keywords with AND: 

  • "occupational therapy" AND stroke
  • "motor skills" AND handwriting

Put quotation marks around phrases:

  • "occupational therapy"
  • "activities of daily living"

Try different words or phrases:

  • mobility OR walking OR ambulation

Get Articles from Other Libraries
