Keyword Search

You can type any word or combination of words in the text box. It's best to use only one or two words to start your search (do not use words such as "the" or "a" at the beginning). The search results will be all the records that include the words you typed.

When searching with multiple keywords, combine terms with the word AND:

  • diabetes AND diet
  • diabetes AND children

Title Search

  1. Type the title of the book in the text box.
  2. Click the down arrow next to "words or phrase."
  3. Click on "title."
  4. Click the Search button.

Author Search

  1. If you are looking for works written by a particular author, type the author's name in the text box.
  2. Click the down arrow next to "words or phrase."
  3. Click on "author."
  4. Click the Search button.

Subject Search

  1. To find books about a person's life (biographical information), type the person's name in the text box.
  2. Click the down arrow next to "words or phrase."
  3. Click on "subject."
  4. Click the Search button.

Search Results

The search results will display information about the item: title, author, call number, publication date, availability, and location.

For each book that you want to find, write down the ENTIRE call number and the location.

Books are located on the 2nd floor of the library. Any library staff member can help you locate materials.

To see more information about an item, click on the title.

Click on the Catalog Record link to view the entire bibliographic record for that item.

On this next page you may find information such as an abstract, contents notes, chapter titles, subject terms, and other descriptive information.

  • Contents may list sections, chapter titles, or other information depending on the type of item.
  • Subject terms are hyperlinked. Click the hyperlink to search for more items on that subject area.
