Global Health Organization Websites

World Health Organization (WHO)
The primary role of WHO is to direct and coordinate international health within the United Nations system. Look for the Health Topics page.
Global Health Observatory (GHO)
The WHO's gateway to international health data. Look for the section of the page that provides stats on various themes such as immunization, reproductive health, mental health, and more.
CDC Global Health
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) works to prevent, detect, and respond to many types of health threats all over the world.
Demographic & Health Surveys Data (DHS)
The DHS program is responsible for collecting and disseminating accurate, nationally representative data on health and population in developing countries. Look for the Topics page.
UNICEF
Collects stats on international health issues related to women and children.

Online Access

The username and password to access databases is the same as what you use to log in to myPittCC and Moodle. The username is your entire myPittCC email address (jdstudent000@my.pittcc.edu).
