The e-books and audiobooks in Hoopla are provided by NC LIVE, an organization in North Carolina that curates and provides access to a variety of library resources to the citizens of North Carolina. PCC Library does not purchase titles for Hoopla, so the number of available resources is somewhat limited.

When you create an account or download the app, the descriptions state that there are large numbers of items available, but that is totally dependent upon what an individual library chooses to provide. There may be titles in this collection that are not available through our other e-book databases, so it's worth a look. 

Access Hoopla

Follow these steps to create a personal account in Hoopla:

1. Click the Hoopla link. If you are off campus, you will be prompted to enter your myPittCC credentials.
2. Once the Hoopla homepage opens, click Get Started.
3. On the next page, click Let's Go!
4. Under Find Your Library, search for Pitt Community College, Winterville, NC.
5. Click Next.
6. Under Connect With Your Library, enter your Pitt CC ID number (or your library account number) in the box labeled Library Card.
7. Click Next.
8. Provide your e-mail address and create a password, then click Complete Registration.
   NOTE: You do not need a myPittCC e-mail address or password to create a Hoopla account.
9. The next time you go to Hoopla, you will click Log In, and use the e-mail address and password you used to create your Hoopla account.

Use the Hoopla App to manage and use e-books and audiobooks from available through Hoopla. The app is available from the Amazon App Store, the Apple Store, and from Google Play.
