Global Road Warrior, The World Factbook, and Credo Reference are excellent starting points when trying to learn more about a country. These resources provide lots of background information about a country's culture, religion, economy, demographics, language(s), and much more.

Choose a country from the list provided, or by clicking the country on the global map.
From the country page, use the menu options on the left side of the screen.
Look for Maps on the side navigation menu. There are a variety of map styles to choose from. Use the download buttons provided.
At the very bottom of the side navigation menu for each country, look for CITE THIS DOCUMENT.
From The World Factbook homepage, choose Countries from the top menu.
Once you've opened a country page, scroll down and look for menu options that will help you learn more about the country.

Start by typing the name of a country into the search box. Explore the list of encyclopedia articles. In the box labeled "Explore Related Concepts," notice any names of people that may be connected with that country (i.e. famous people). Keep an eye out for "Read More" links so that you can see the entire encyclopedia article.
Once you open an article within Credo, click the Cite link. Choose the citation format you need, then click Copy. Make sure that you check the citation against a trusted citation guide as computer generated citations often have errors.
IMPORTANT!
The citations being provided by Credo are the older versions. You will likely need to do quite a bit of updating to have your citations match the latest versions. Check the citations from Credo against examples on our APA 7th and MLA 9th guides.
The username and password to access databases is the same as what you use to log in to myPittCC and Moodle. The username is your entire myPittCC email address (jdstudent000@my.pittcc.edu).
