The ELA Program is designed to help adults whose native language is not English. Online and in-person classes are offered at levels from beginning to advanced. Classes are designed to help improve English reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
Specialized courses are also available and include a language lab for individualized instruction, TOEFL preparation, citizenship and distance learning to supplement classroom instruction. The Pitt Community College Library is located in the Everett Building. All ELA students are welcome to visit anytime. Please ask a librarian if you need help.

Community residents with PCC library cards, and those enrolled in Early College, ELA, Continuing Ed., and Transitional Studies courses can use the Library's databases from home.
