PCC ELA Program

The ELA Program is designed to help adults whose native language is not English. Online and in-person classes are offered at levels from beginning to advanced. Classes are designed to help improve English reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. 

Specialized courses are also available and include a language lab for individualized instruction, TOEFL preparation, citizenship and distance learning to supplement classroom instruction. Library Services

The Pitt Community College Library is located in the Everett Building. All ELA students are welcome to visit anytime. Please ask a librarian if you need help.

Library Database Access from Home

Community residents with PCC library cards, and those enrolled in Early College, ELA, Continuing Ed., and Transitional Studies courses can use the Library's databases from home.

  • If you have a myPittCC e-mail address through Pitt Community College, you can use your myPittCC login for online access to library databases. 
  • If you do not have a myPittCC e-mail address, call the Library to get a username and password for the databases: (252) 493-7360
