Access to scholarly journals and magazines useful to both novice historians as well as advanced academic researchers. The database offers coverage of events in world history and scholarly work being established in the field.
Provides contextual information on the world's most influential people. Search for people based on name, occupation, nationality, ethnicity, birth/death dates and places, or gender as well as keyword and full text.
Go to the Library's database list, then click the All Subjects button.
From the drop-down menu, choose History.
The username and password to access databases from off campus is similar to what you use to access the PCC campus portal (myPittCC) and Moodle. For the username, use the first part of your myPittCC email address only. DO NOT include @my.pittcc.edu. The password is exactly the same as what you use to log in to the campus portal. Generic logins are available to community residents with PCC library cards, and others who are enrolled in or are affiliated with PCC programs and continuing education courses.
