About the Library: Group Study Rooms

This guide outlines the polices and procedures surrounding the Library and its operation.
The 2nd floor of the Library is now closed for renovation.
There are 7 study rooms available on the first floor: 1 large, 1 medium, and 5 small.
Room reservations must be made at least 1 HOUR in advance when booking online.
If you are more than 10 minutes late, you forfeit your reservation.

Small Group Study Rooms

  • 1st floor: rooms 138, 139, 144, 150-A, 150-B
  • rooms 138, 139, 144 - maximum of 3 people per room
  • rooms 150 A & B - maximum of 2 people per room
  • dry erase board (138 & 139 only)
  • electrical outlets
  • can be reserved for individual use

Medium Group Study Room

  • 1st floor, room 142
  • seats 3-5
  • groups must include at least 3 people
  • dry erase board
  • electrical outlets
  • groups only

Large Group Study Room

  • 1st floor, room 141
  • seats 6-8
  • groups must include at least 4 people
  • dry erase board
  • electrical outlets
  • groups only

Dry Erase Supplies:

Dry erase supplies can be checked out from the 1st floor Circulation Desk. A Pitt ID is required.

Laptops:

Laptops and tablets can be checked out from the 1st floor Circulation Desk. A Pitt ID is required.
