The primary purpose of the computers in the Library is for academic use. Should all computer workstations be in use, those who are surfing the Internet, playing games, listening to music, etc. may be asked to give up their computer to a person who needs to complete an assignment or do research.
Public workstations and library laptops have software that will delete anything that has been saved to the computer and will return any changed settings to their original state once the computer has been shut down and re-started.
Ask a library staff member if you need assistance with saving. The library does NOT have flash drives available for purchase.
Library patrons (with a PCC Library account) can check out laptops from the Circulation Desk (1st floor) to use inside the Library. Printing is not currently available with PCC laptops. You can connect to the Internet with PCC's wireless network from anywhere in the Library.
The PCC Library has laptops available for PCC students to check out for the current semester. Equipment is checked out at the circulation desk on a first-come, first-served basis. A valid PCC/NC Wesleyan ID card is required to check out equipment. Library equipment is not to be used for commercial or non-academic purposes nor shared with others.
Contact the PCC Library Circulation Desk at 493-7350 or email pittlrc@email.pittcc.edu if you need any additional information.
Library patrons with their own laptops can access the Internet using PCC's wireless network from anywhere in the Library. Printing is not available from personal laptops.
